Desktop Wallpapers By Manfred Ebster: Edition I

This is the first edition of desktop wallpapers created by the Austrian painter Manfred Ebster. The images represent high resolution scans from original paintings, in various styles and techniques. If you want to know more about Manfred Ebster and his work, or if you are interested in buying original artwork, please visit our homepage at www.ebster.com .

At our site you will also find more wallpaper images for free download, and alternative resolutions to fit your screen (the images in this archive are opimized for 640x480 pixel displays). Also, we will add new images from time to time.

Enjoy the images! For instructions on how to use the wallpaper see the next section, and please read the License Agreement carefully.

How to use (Win 95/98):

- Extract the image files to your desktop
- Open an empty browser window and drag one of the files onto it
- Right click on the desktop and select "Background image" from the popup menu

How to use (Mac):

- Extract the image files to your desktop
- Open the "Desktop" control panel from the apple menu
- Check "Picture" and select one of the images saved on the desktop

License Agreement

The archive file is freeware, which means you are welcome and encouraged to freely distribute the complete archive in its original form to whoever you want, via CD, diskette, e-mail... You may extract any of the contained files and use them as background images ("wallpaper") on your desktop.

However, keep in mind that the images represent copyrighted artwork, property of Manfred Ebster, Vienna, Austria. Therefore you must not alter any of the images, or use them in any other context than specified above. Specifically, do not transfer the images to any other media (i.e. hardcopy printouts, video, chemical film etc.). Do not distibute single files, or the archive with this license agreement removed. Also, as this is freeware, you shall not make money with it, which means, do not sell it as or as part of a commercial product.
